INDY – CANCELLED

It is with a heavy heart that I tell you that Indy has been cancelled Saturday due to a death of someone in the Bible Bowl family, Carol Jackson from Clarksburg, IN (formerly with Mount Pleasant before branching off).  We will still have winter study camps this week on Thursday and Friday as the review mid-year is still helpful, especially for those going to Winter KCU next month.

This is the email from National Bible Bowl Director Josiah Gorman:

Carol Jackson, beloved mother of 6 wonderful former Bible Bowlers, and current coach of the Clarksburg Bible Bowl team, tragically passed away this weekend.  Out of respect for the Jackson family, and all who knew her, the Indy Winter Bible Bowl tournament is not happening this weekend. I know this doesn’t make it any easier for us, but she is in a better place now. Paul said that to live is Christ, and to die is gain. Well, Carol lived Christ, and now she is receiving her eternal reward.  All of you are invited to the funeral. If you decide you can make it, the funeral is at 10a on Saturday the 5th at Clarksburg Christian Church. The address is: 6708 N County Road 700 E, Clarksburg, IN 47225. She was beloved, so it will likely be standing room only. I’ll be there, and I’d love to see you there to show the Jacksons how much we love them.
