We hope everyone had a wonderful Thanksgiving! With Christmas right around the corner and calendars filling up, be sure to take note of the following important dates and information:
· Saturday, December 4th– Greenwood Round Robin. Be ready to leave the YAC at 6:45AM! Don’t forget to eat breakfast before you come and to pack a lunch. Due to fewer games this month, we will be getting home earlier and therefore will not be stopping for dinner. Our best estimate right now is that we will be back by 4:30PM, but we can have students call parents on the way home, as usual, with a better estimate. If your child will not be attending round robin, please let us know.
· Monday, December 6th– Outing during practice! We will pick up 2 angels from the Salvation Army Angel Tree this week. After students meet for practice in our main meeting room (473) at 5:45, coaches will drive their teams to the Wal-Mart on Hurstbourne to pick out presents. Please send $5 per student if you are able to cover the costs as the students take part in the joy of giving! We will return to church and have team time for the remainder of practice and will end at 7:45 as usual. Parents are welcome to join us in this outing and/or drive their children. Please let us know if your child will not be able to take part as we know some students leave early or come late for other obligations.
· Friday, December 17th– Ice Skating Christmas Party at Iceland! The group will meet at Iceland (1701 Ups Drive, Louisville, KY 40223) off Hurstbourne from 7-10PM. Please bring $3 per skater (cash only) to cover cost of skate rentals. We will not be providing any food, so eat beforehand. Send money with your child if he or she is interested in concessions or the small arcade area. Families welcome!
Looking forward to the opportunity to give, celebrate, and fellowship as we remember Christ this Christmas season!
