Nationals – Response Needed!
It’s time for me to register our group for our National Bible Bowl Tournament! Following all the information here, there is a link at the bottom for a google survey...
This Saturday after round robin there will be an after party in Greenwood IN. Usually our return time is about 5:30pm, we expect it to be closer to 8:30pm. As usual we’ll have players call home when we’re about 30 minutes away from church.
With the growth Bible Bowl has experienced this year we’ve stressed the need for drivers to Round Robin. Parents have stepped up and volunteered themselves as drivers and it’s a huge blessing to have you make yourselves available! Even with parents stepping up we’d have to rent 2x 12 passenger vans for the day. After that, the cost of gas for those vans and the additional vehicles we would still need to transport our entire group of ~45 would be pretty high.
With God having entrusted to us the donations provided for Bible Bowl we wanted to be sure we were using his money wisely. With this in mind we pursued what it would cost to rent a bus for the day that would either be more affordable or cost the same as the caravan. We’ve found a solution! This round robin (and if all goes well, all round robins) we’ll be taking a school bus.
For those that volunteered to drive, thank you! We won’t need you this Saturday, but may need you again in the future.
Don’t forget to send your players with $5 for dinner, a sack lunch and their study materials! See you at the YAC (opposite the gym side) at Southeast at 6:15am Saturday!
